Jess joined Little Scholars as campus manager in 2024 ahead of the opening of Little Scholars Deception Bay North, but she has more than two decades of working with children in the early years.
“I have worked in the early childhood education and care sector for the past 22 years starting when I was 18 as a trainee. I progressed through roles as I completed my qualifications, assistant, group leader, small centre manager, large centre manager before I moved into Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) which is where I had been working for the past eight years as a regional manager.”
Jess says the best part about working with children is that each day can be wildly different and that children certainly keep her on her toes.
“I love that we get to be a part of each child’s journey and make lasting memories with them and contribute to the person that they will be in the future,” she says.
And about this new career step, she says, “I am excited to be opening a new campus and bringing together the most amazing educators in the sector to create a community where children and educators feel safe, secure and supported!”
