Frequently Asked Questions

What is the daily fee?

Daily fees vary depending on the Little Scholars campus and age group. To help families estimate childcare costs, we can calculate your CCS-adjusted daily rate using our Child Care Subsidy calculator You can also contact us for the current long day care rate at your preferred centre.

Our Little Scholars early learning centres offer an extensive range of inclusions designed to support high-quality childcare and early education. These include:

  • Nappies and wipes.
  • Regular updates and photos on our all-in-one family app.
  • Quality learning resources.
  • A variety of extracurricular activities to support individual interests, including dance, STEM, sports, yoga, swimming, and Bush kinder.
  • Regular festivities for annual events, cultural celebrations, and special occasions.
  • We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children’s interests.
  • Family time program which provides on-campus services such as take-home meals, healthcare, haircuts, date nights, and dental checkups.
  • Plus more! Speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

We do not offer half-day sessions, but families can choose from 9-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour flexible childcare sessions to align with your families schedule.

Yes, public holidays are charged at the standard daily fee. Families may still receive the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) provided they have not used all allowable absences.

Under the Child Care Subsidy, each child is entitled to 42 absence days per financial year. These can be used for illness, family holidays or public holidays without needing documentation.

A campus tour is the perfect way to experience your centre of choice, seeing a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. You can get a feel of the centre and decide if it’s the perfect fit for your family. The tour is also a great way to spend time with the team members, finding out exactly who your child will be interacting with, and how they’ll be inspired throughout the day.

Little Scholars accepts applications for future enrolments, and we offer enrolment placements as they become available. Our Enrolments team will add your child’s name on our waitlist if a centre is currently full in your child’s age group. We will then contact you as soon as places become available.

You can request an update on your waitlist status at anytime via Web Chat or by phone.

We recommend joining our childcare waitlists as soon as possible, with many parents in high-demand areas applying during pregnancy or immediately after birth.

To complete your childcare enrolment form, you’ll need:

  • Your child’s CRN (Customer Reference Number). If you do not have a CRN or are unsure where to find this, visit the Centrelink website here.
  • Your child’s Medicare number
  • Your child’s immunisation status record downloaded from Medicare/MyGov, which will need to be provided to the centre before commencement.
  • Your child’s Birth certificate

If you’re enrolling in child care for the first time, you’ll also need to apply for the Child Care Subsidy. Our enrolments team can support and guide you through the whole enrolment process. If you have any questions, call us so we can help you enrol today.

CCS entitlements vary depending on your family’s circumstances. You can use our CCS Calculator to estimate your out-of-pocket childcare fees, or feel free to give our enrolments team a call.

Many of our campuses provide Before and After School Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care programs. We have air-conditioned courtesy buses that transport children safely to and from school. We ensure that there are loads of structured and unstructured activities on offer at every session. We also provide tasty, healthy foods. For more information, reach out to your local centre.

You can view our full list of campuses that offer outside school hour care (OSHC) here

At Little Scholars, we have a minimum two-days per week enrolment policy. However, we strongly recommend a minimum of three days for better child development and stability. This structure is designed to support the child’s settling-in process, relationship building, and continuity of learning.
