At Little Scholars School of Early Learning, everything we do is guided by four core pillars: Learn, Grow, Inspire and Contribute.
These pillars shape our philosophy, our curriculum, and the way we work with children, families and educators every day. Through play-based learning, meaningful relationships and strong community connections, we create environments where children feel confident, curious and supported as they discover the world around them.
Together, these values help us nurture the whole child while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Learning at Little Scholars is driven by curiosity, exploration and collaboration. Our educators create rich play-based environments where children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate ideas and discover new skills.
Guided by our emergent curriculum approach, including The Collective, learning experiences are shaped by children’s interests and supported through meaningful partnerships between educators and families.
We believe learning is a lifelong journey—for children and educators alike—and we are committed to continually growing together.
Growth happens when children feel safe, supported and encouraged to be themselves.
At Little Scholars, we celebrate every milestone and support each child’s unique learning journey. Our programs focus on nurturing social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, helping children build confidence, resilience and independence.
We also invest in the growth of our educators, empowering them to continually develop their skills and inspire the children in their care.
Inspiration is at the heart of everything we do.
Our educators are mentors, role models and lifelong learners who lead with intention and passion. Through reflective practice and ongoing professional development, they continually seek new ways to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
By inspiring children to think creatively, explore boldly and believe in themselves, we help shape confident learners who are excited about the future.
We believe learning extends beyond the classroom.
Little Scholars campuses are connected to their local communities, encouraging children to develop a sense of belonging and an understanding of the world around them. Through sustainable practices, community partnerships and collaborative projects, we empower children to see how their actions can make a difference.
Together with our families and communities, we are helping create a better future for the next generation.
The best way to experience our philosophy in action is to visit one of our campuses.
Come and see how our four pillars create inspiring learning environments where children thrive.
Join us for a relaxed weekly pram walk and a baby-led park play session with morning tea included.
The idea is simple; to get out of the house, enjoy fresh air, baby play dates, and make new friendships with local mums going through the same season of life.
Hosted by the educators at Little Scholars, Pram Pals is open to all local mums & their bubs – you do not need to be enrolled at a Little Scholars campus to join in!
Whether you’re new to the area, a first-time mum, or just looking for some midweek connection, we’d love to see you there
Find your local pram pals location below.
Joining a local mum walk helps you meet other mothers who truly “get it,” so you feel less alone and more supported. Over time, those regular chats can grow into real friendships and a trusted local network you can lean on.
Pram walks offer low‑impact, postpartum‑friendly movement that you can do with your baby, without needing childcare or a gym. This gentle exercise supports recovery, boosts energy, and can improve mood and sleep.
Getting outside with the pram gives you fresh air and daylight, a change of scenery from home, and can help regulate your nervous system and energy levels.
Fresh air. Easy movement. Morning tea with people who actually get it. Pram Pals is your weekly reason to get out the door.
Open to all mums in the community — you don't have to be a Little Scholars family to join.
What is Pram Pals?
Getting out of the house with a newborn is an achievement on its own. Pram Pals is what makes it worth doing.
Every week, local mums and bubs meet at a Little Scholars campus to walk together, let the babies explore at the park, and share a morning tea. It's low-pressure, it's free, and it's run by our warm and experienced early childhood educators — so you know you're in good hands.
There's no agenda, no pressure to be "on," and no prerequisite other than showing up. Whether your baby is three weeks old or walking, whether you're a first-time mum or have been around the block a few times — Pram Pals is for you.
Find your group
We currently run Pram Pals groups from three of our campuses across the Gold Coast and Brisbane — with more locations coming soon. Can't see your suburb? Register your interest and we'll let you know when a group opens near you.

At a Glance
Each session follows a simple rhythm — relaxed, friendly, and always with morning tea at the end.
Rock up to your nearest Little Scholars campus, meet your educator host and the other mums. No awkward introductions required — it always just flows.
A relaxed pram walk around the local neighbourhood or park. Flat, pram-friendly routes that work at whatever pace you need today.
A baby-led play session in the park — fresh air, sensory input, and their very first social experiences with other bubs.
The part everyone looks forward to. Sit down with a cuppa, swap stories, and realise you are absolutely not the only one doing it hard some days.
Why it matters
Studies consistently show that social connection is one of the most powerful factors in a new mum's mental health — yet many women go weeks without meaningful adult interaction. A weekly walk won't fix everything. But it's a start, and sometimes a start is everything.
Why join?
Here's what mums tell us keeps them coming back every week.
The right people make the whole thing easier. Pram Pals puts you in a room (well, a park) with other mums going through exactly the same season of life — and those weekly walk chats have a way of turning into real friendships.
Gentle, low-impact, and pram-friendly — you can move your body without needing childcare, a gym membership, or a babysitter. Walking is one of the most evidence-backed forms of postnatal exercise, and this is the easiest way to make it happen.
Even on the days you don't feel like it, getting outside is one of the most effective mood-lifters you have. Natural light, movement, and green space all contribute to reducing stress and lifting energy levels.
Babies learn through watching and being around other babies — even from the earliest weeks. The park play portion of each session gives your bub gentle sensory input, new faces, and the very beginning of social development.
Having a committed time in the calendar that isn't a medical appointment makes a real difference. Pram Pals gives you a standing weekly plan — the kind of routine that early-parenthood desperately needs, but rarely has.
Our educators don't just facilitate the walk — they're genuinely warm, knowledgeable people who care about the families in their local community. If you have questions about child development, settling, routines, or what's ahead — they're a brilliant resource.
Getting ready
We keep it simple. Here's everything you need — and nothing you don't.

Welcome to Little Scholars School of Early Learning! We’re thrilled to welcome your family!
Our experienced and caring educators create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow
through play.
At Little Scholars, we offer an environment where your children can flourish, learn, and develop, all within a
nurturing and non-judgmental space. Our educators uphold the highest standards of courtesy and respect in all interactions with both parents and children.
We never lose sight of the immense trust you place in us by allowing us to be a part of your child’s early years. It is
this trust that fuels our dedication to creating a secure and welcoming environment where your children can thrive,
learn, and grow at their own pace.
Getting prepared for your child’s first day? Let us help.
Time to arrive: while it of course depends on your schedule, if possible on your child’s first day, arriving after 9am is a good time to come because it’s not as busy as the morning rush has usually subsided and all of your child’s educators will be there. If possible, set aside enough time that morning to ensure drop-off is calm. Taking time with this process is better than rushing and being stressed on the first day. This will also give you time to talk to the educators in your child’s studio, as well as help your child with any first day jitters or attachment woes they may be having.
Who to ask for: when you arrive at the front door, if you don’t already have the door code, just ring the doorbell and tell the person who answers that it’s your first day and you’d like to see the campus manager or assistant campus manager, who will assist you.
Each day, you’ll present your child to the educator in charge. Before your child leaves the campus for the day, you are asked to do the following:
Please note, no child will be released into the care of any persons not known to team members. If educators do not know the person by appearance, the person must be able to produce some form of photo identification to prove that they are the person authorised to collect the child on the enrolment form.
In the event that a child has not been collected 15 minutes after closing time then the parents/guardians will be contacted on the emergency telephone numbers provided. If the child has still not been collected 30 minutes after closing time, then staff will follow the Department of
Communities Abandoned Child Procedures including contacting the Child Protection and Crisis Centre 24 hour service.
Additional fees will be charged for a child who remains in the campus after the campus closing time.
In the case that your child is absent we request that you mark him or her absent in the Childcare Now app, or phone the campus if your child is unable to attend their session for any reason. Notice is also required in the incidence of infectious or contagious diseases in the family.
If your child has an ongoing medical condition, allergy, dietary requirement or special consideration, this information is given during completion of our enrolment form. Your Little Scholars campus then completes the relevant risk minimisation plan with information from the parent. We contact parents when this plan has been completed to review, it is then signed by parents, the campus manager, educators and then the child is added to the list that is distributed campus wide.
If your child requires medication whilst in care, a medication record must be filled in and signed by a parent. The medication must be in original packaging and accompanied by a prescription label/doctor’s letter (for non-prescription medication) which states who the medication is for and the dosage. Medication must be handed to a staff member and will be stored in a locked cupboard. Under no circumstances is any type of medication to be left in children’s bags. Please refer to the Medication Policy for further information.
Our strict supervision and attention to detail provides parents with confidence that their children’s food requirements will be properly met while in our care. If your child has food allergies or intolerances, please highlight this in your enrolment form so we can notify all staff. You will be required to complete a management plan with details on your child’s needs.
At Little Scholars School of Early Learning, we are committed to providing you and your
little scholar the very best service, so we try to provide everything we can. However, there are a few things that we suggest you bring along to ensure your child is comfortable.
We suggest you consider packing:
Our nursery studios are shoe free nursery to create a conducive, clean, and safe environment for young children to learn and grow. It promotes hygiene and cleanliness, eliminating our infants and young children exposed to germs outdoor shoes can carry, this is particularly important as our young children will play on the floor.
Promoting a shoe-free nursery can also be beneficial to children who may have allergies, this minimises the risk to the introduction of outdoor allergens being carried into the indoor space. It also supports a respectful space, where the practice fosters a sense of respect for the indoor learning environment for our infants, helping children understand that it is a space dedicated to play, learning and exploration.
Our campuses are breastfeeding friendly environments and mothers are welcome to come to breastfeed their child at any time.
Our nurseries are equipped with fridges to allow for bottles. For bottle-fed babies, our educators
will mix and prepare the bottles at the required time. All bottles must be labelled with your child’s full name. The date the milk was expressed (or thawed) must also be on the label for those containing breast milk. For formula, please pre-mix or include measured water and measured formula in a separate container. We are not responsible for ensuring correct ratios of formula to water are measured.
On arrival, please store all labelled bottles towards the back of the main body of the fridge.
Bottles will be heated at your request by standing them in a container of tepid water or by using a bottle warmer. We will test the temperature of all heated fluids before
offering it to your child.
Finally, you can get all the information you need about your child in our dedicated app, found both in the Apple Store and Google Play! There you’ll receive updates on your child’s week, regular photos, communication from your campus and access to the above mentioned ChildCare Now -where you can mark absences and add casual bookings.
We’re honoured you chose Little Scholars to play a small part in your little one’s childhood. We thank you and we’re excited to get to know your little scholar and your family!

Starting formal school is an important milestone that can be an exciting and anxious time. Our transition to school program aims to ensure that children and their families enjoy their start to school and the many school years ahead.
Our campuses provide warm, nurturing and stimulating environments aimed at offering the best possible early learning curriculum, where children can develop to their full potential. Little Scholars prepares your child for a smooth and successful school transition. Little Scholars plans a wide range of experiences to prepare your child for school.
Throughout the entire period that your child is enrolled at Little Scholars, they are participating in an early learning curriculum that is designed around their unique needs and interests.
Our transition to school program concept emphasises our little scholars’ unique needs and characteristics. We do not lay out a rigid set of skills that may not fit every child, rather, we acknowledge children’s distinctiveness, cultural backgrounds, and varied learning methods.
We firmly believe children who start school with a positive disposition to learning are more likely to enjoy and excel in their educational journey. Our educators tailor their teaching methods to align with each child’s abilities, knowledge, and learning requirements, ensuring an inclusive approach where every child progresses.
Our approach enhances cooperation among feeder schools, families, and communities. It underscores the importance of a collective effort in facilitating your child’s smooth transition into school. This collaborative approach guarantees a consistent and nurturing transition for children.
One of the main focuses of our programs is the development of life skills, those skills which if attained at an early age, will support your child to be a happy, confident member of not only their school community but the wider community as well, assisting them to lead successful and fulfilling lives in their future years. These skills include things such as independence, perseverance, empathy, cooperative interaction skills, fluent and concise communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with others.
At our campuses, you will find your child participating in specialised activities in their school transition year that will foster the further development of these qualities.
Our campuses network closely with their local school communities to establish rapport that will assist both you and your children into their first year of school. We sit on many school parents and community associations and also are a part of regional educational leadership networking groups. This networking is aimed not only at being able to provide families with up-to-date information with regards to each of our feeder schools, but also to ensure that programs we are providing for our children are designed to best meet the needs and expectations that each of our feeder schools have for the children as they enter kindergarten.
Finally, we know each child grows and learns at their unique speed, and we firmly believe early childhood is a period for discovery, playful engagement, and joyful education, rather than a hurried quest to master certain skills.
At Little Scholars, we deeply value the insights and feedback of our parents. We believe that your involvement is key to enriching our learning community and enhancing the experiences of all our little scholars. Parents are encouraged to participate in an advisory and consultative capacity, playing an active role in shaping the environment and experiences we offer.
Your involvement can take many forms, from contributing to the review of our campus’s philosophy, policies, and procedures, to having a say in learning programs and curriculum, new playground designs, holiday celebrations or menu rollouts. We understand that you have unique perspectives and valuable insights that can greatly benefit our community.
We ensure that these opportunities for involvement are easily accessible and communicated regularly. You will find updates and invitations for participation displayed in the foyer area of your child’s studio, ensuring you are always informed and can easily contribute your thoughts and ideas. Additionally, our Parent Committee offers a more structured way for you to engage with us, providing a platform for discussion, feedback, and collaborative decision-making.
By welcoming parent involvement, we aim to build a stronger, more connected community at Little Scholars. Your engagement helps us to continually improve and adapt, ensuring that we provide the best possible environment for your child’s growth and development.
After feedback from our valued families, we have created a really tasty range of dishes that children will love and make dinner time a breeze. These classic dishes are perfect if you are running late or have no time to prepare dinner.
