Does Little Scholars Burleigh offer kindergarten?

Yes. Little Scholars Burleigh runs a Government-approved kindergarten program delivered by qualified early childhood teachers, designed to lay strong foundations in the early years and prepare your child for a smooth and successful transition to prep as they reach school age. It runs inside the campus's normal 6:00am to 6:00pm long day care hours, so there is no separate kindergarten pick up. Free Kindy is available for 15 hours per week across 40 weeks.

Kindergarten at Little Scholars Burleigh typically suits children aged 4 to 5, with older 3 year olds able to start early depending on the child, campus numbers and the waitlist.

Understanding your out-of-pocket costs

What does childcare cost at Little Scholars Burleigh?

Little Scholars Burleigh is an approved Child Care Subsidy provider, so most families pay well below the full fee. The team walks every family through fees, availability and the subsidy on a campus tour, and the CCS calculator on our website gives you an estimate in a few minutes.

Up to 90%

Child Care Subsidy

The CCS is paid directly to Little Scholars Burleigh and taken off your bill, so you only pay the gap. As at August 2026, families earning up to $88,520 receive a 90% subsidy, and families with more than 1 child aged 5 or under in care can receive a higher rate for second and younger children.

3 days

The 3 Day Guarantee

Every family eligible for the Child Care Subsidy now gets at least 3 days of subsidised care a week, no matter how much you work or study. It covers every child at Little Scholars Burleigh, not just kindy, and most families still pay a gap fee.

15 hrs free

Queensland Free Kindy

Free Kindy covers 15 hours per week across 40 weeks at Little Scholars Burleigh in the year before school. For 2026, children born between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022 are eligible, and hours beyond the free 15 can attract the CCS. Read more about Free Kindy at Little Scholars.

Subsidy rates and income thresholds are indexed each July and were last updated 6 July 2026. Figures are indicative; Services Australia confirms your entitlement.

School-aged care

Does Little Scholars Burleigh offer before and after school care?

Yes. Little Scholars Burleigh offers before and after school care and vacation care for school-aged children, with a courtesy bus running pick-ups and drop-offs at Caningeraba State School each school day. The Child Care Subsidy applies to before and after school care and vacation care for eligible families.
