Little Scholars Augustine Heights, formerly Edge Early Learning Bellbird Park, is an early learning campus at 61 Jones Road, Bellbird Park QLD 4300, open 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday and caring for children from 6 weeks to school age. It joined Little Scholars in 2026 and is 1 of 18 Little Scholars campuses across South East Queensland.

This is the campus you knew as Edge Bellbird Park. When Edge went into administration, Little Scholars stepped in to keep the doors open for local families. Over the coming months we are bringing it up to the Little Scholars standard, with new resources, our programs and a Government-approved kindergarten program for families in Augustine Heights, Bellbird Park and Redbank Plains.

What is changing

Edge Bellbird Park is now Little Scholars Augustine Heights

When Edge Early Learning went into administration in August 2026, families at 61 Jones Road were left wondering what would happen to their centre. Little Scholars stepped in to keep it open, and we came straight in to support the children, families and educators who rely on it.

Over the coming months we will bring the campus up to the Little Scholars standard: new resources in the studios and outdoor spaces, new programs, and the same support every Little Scholars campus has behind it. Your child's days stay settled while it happens.

Now

Same campus, same front door

Care carries on at 61 Jones Road from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, for children from 6 weeks to school age. If your child is already enrolled, we will talk you through each change before it happens.

Over the coming months

New resources and programs

New resources arrive in the studios and outdoor spaces, and Little Scholars programs start one at a time: Outdoor Explorers, the Grandfriends Program, WonderNest, extracurriculars, the Family Time program and the parent app. Ask the team what is already running.

Yes. Kindergarten at Little Scholars Augustine Heights suits children aged 4 to 5. Some 3 year olds start a little early. It depends on the child, the numbers in the room and the waitlist. Ask the team.

Child safety

This is the part of choosing care that matters most, so here it is plainly.

Three policies govern how we keep your child safe: Child Protection, Child Safe and Wellbeing, and Providing Safe Environments. Everyone on our team completes the national Foundations of Child Safety Training, and does it again every year.

We run an internal Child Safety Squad and work hard at a speak-up culture, where anyone who notices something says something. Our Operations Manager, Melanie Excell, is a Queensland Children's Rights Ambassador.

If something worries you, tell us. Raise it with the Augustine Heights team and we'll act on it. You can also contact the Department directly, at any point, without coming to us first. Whatever you raise, we meet our reporting obligations. Every time.

Ask the team about any of it. On this topic, no question is too blunt. Read our full approach to child safety at Little Scholars.

Extracurricular activities

Little Scholars campuses run a rotating program of extracurricular activities across 8 areas: health and fitness, music, yoga, sports, language, STEM, cooking and gardening, and the program comes to Augustine Heights as the campus moves across. Optional specialist activities such as swimming and dance are offered separately.

Meals and nutrition

Little Scholars Augustine Heights serves meals and snacks prepared on campus each day, included for every child at no extra charge, and moves to the Feed Australia approved Little Scholars menu as the campus moves across. Take Home Meals, a chef-cooked dinner collected at pick-up, is part of the Family Time program.

Nature and sustainability

Children at Little Scholars Augustine Heights play outdoors every day, and the Outdoor Explorers program takes them into the bushland and parks around Bellbird Park and Augustine Heights as it rolls out, learning care for country from their earliest years.

Community and Grandfriends

The Intergenerational Grandfriends Program brings children together with local seniors, building children's confidence, empathy and social skills while easing the isolation many seniors face. It is coming to Augustine Heights to connect the campus with the local community.

The parent app and daily portfolio

Little Scholars Augustine Heights moves to the Little Scholars parent app, which shares your child's day as it happens: photos, learning moments and daily updates in a digital portfolio, every day your child attends, included at no charge.
