With a deep passion for early childhood education and over a decade of experience in the sector, Jade Kennedy says she’s built a rewarding career dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of children in their earliest years. Since joining Little Scholars in 2022, Jade has worked as an educational leader and assistant campus manager, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusive practices and early intervention supports. She took over as campus manager of our Redland Bay campus in late 2024 and we’re thrilled to welcome her to our leadership team.
Jade’s dedication to education extends to her own education! She holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management and has recently completed a Bachelor of Child, Youth and Family Practice. In 2024 Jade joined the team at our wonderful Redland Bay campus, as campus manager.
“As a leader, I believe that strong relationships and collaboration are essential for creating a supportive team environment united by shared goals. I am passionate about empowering others and encouraging growth, through leading by example as we make an impact to children’s learning in their most integral first five years. I prioritise the views and opinions of children and families as the foundation to all decisions we make as educators, always keeping a strong focus on community involvement and connection.”
She says there are always challenges when working with important stakeholders, but the most challenging part of being a campus manager may not be what you’d expect.
“The hardest part of being a campus manager and an educator is watching children grow up, move on to school and eventually this part of their life is forgotten, it’s so sad for us! This can also be one of the more rewarding sides though, when you run into a family later in life and get to reconnect, that bond never goes away,” Jade says.
